Made from FDA compliant HDPE resin, these 2 gallon pails feature a sturdy metal handle and a wall thickness of approximately 65 mil. With a diameter of roughly 9.67" and a height of about 9.28", they weigh in at approximately .86 lbs. The gamma lids come equipped with O-ring gaskets for added safety, while the snap on lids also include O-ring gaskets. Gamma lids are designed to be customer installed, but for shipping efficiency, one or more lids may be installed by Poly Farm LLC. Installation may require the use of a rubber mallet (not included). These buckets are not only sturdy, but also safe as they are made from High Density PolyEthylene (HDPE), which is FDA compliant and free from BPA. Gamma lids are perfect for everyday use or for easy access dry storage. While we are fans of the Gamma Seal, we do not recommend them for long term food storage or liquid applications.
